First Saturday Breakfast Bunch

We had a great crowd at the breakfast this Saturday. Had to do a little furniture rearranging so every one could have a place to sit.  We had several newcomers, at least to me, and some that have not been around for awhile.  Nick Chamberlain and his wife, Susan, were in town visiting from their home in Bellingham, WA. Ted Higley & wife, Judy, came from Arizona and planned to surprise his sister,  Orpha.  Orpha wasn't at the breakfast as she was helping with the P.B. Woman's Club Fall Festival, but Ted and Judy caught up with her at the festival and surprised her.

Well we got some  sad news this month. Tom Nutt, of the class of 1958, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2009, at his home in Corpus Christi, TX.  Please remember the family of Tom in your thoughts and prayers.
One of our classmates, Jack Denson, mentioned that it was Tom Nutt who designed the Nautilus cover for the 1958 Taroga.		  
   
 

 

We are also sorry to tell you that we heard from classmate, Orpha Higley, that her mother, Thelma had passed away the evening of November 12, 2009.  Orpha said that her mother went peacefully and without pain, so that is something for which to be grateful. It is still a loss though, so keep Orpha & brother, Ted, and family in your thoughts and prayers.
